Sorry. I meant it's not going to be top loaded, and I need to cut the hole so you can open the drive.mdh16 wrote:make sure you open the drive up and bridge the open and close pins it disables the open and close action

Are you gonna split the power/inverter board and actually run it directly off of the 12v and 5v from the Xbox power supply?bassmasta wrote:LCD Dissassembled!
Woot! 12V and 5V connectors!
Do you have a tutorial of how/where to split the board you could send me?
Re: bassmasta's xbox 360 laptop worklog
Nah. I couldn't figure out a way to cut it which would save me space. So I left it intact.FA-MAS wrote:Are you gonna split the power/inverter board and actually run it directly off of the 12v and 5v from the Xbox power supply?bassmasta wrote:LCD Dissassembled!

As for a tutorial, the best I can give you is this, about halfway through. LCD power boards are different, so I couldn't tell you where to cut.

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Went to a local plastics store and bought 2' x 4' sheets of expanded pvc (sintra, komatex, etc) in 1/4" and 1/8" inch thickness. Then I just used a table saw and a dremel basically.humakabula1 wrote:how did you make/cut/do your case?
