OK! so, I made a cigarette lighter adapter that powers my Wii off my cars 12v battery power. One problem I have but isn't really a big deal is that w/e I start my car, the Wii shuts off to the red led mode. Now I think this is probably a result of my cars alternator cranking up the voltage to almost 15ish volts. Honestly, I'm just happy it doesn't kill my Wii but would anyone happen to know if there is anyway to prevent this?
My second, and most dire, inquiry has to do with when the wii is running in my car. I have a PSOne screen mounted to my dashboard and get amazing video quality with no distortion. Now the problem I'm facing is when the wii is running when the car is running, I get a lot of distortion on my audio lines. And w/e I rev the engine, the distortion gets worse too. Now due to a lot of deductive reasoning... and an oscillator

, I found that the engine noise is leaking into the audio line in the Wii, probably due to the fact that the raw alternator and battery voltage is going directly into the Wii's power input. The problem is I don't know enough about electronics to know what to put in the line in order to clear out the distortion!
