vacuum forming ?

just wondering what is the best kind of plastic to use. i will probably make aq vacuum table eventually

Sintra is what I'm going to use. It is a very durable material that can easily be vacuum formed. It's what I'm gonna use.

cnc is better and you can do a cheap kind of cncing with a dreamel

polystyrene. Although ABS is good, it's harder to form.

yeah I'm using polystyrene. It just came in the mail a couple days ago. I'm a little worried, though. I got some 3/32 inch plastic and it's pretty wobbly. Hopefully that'll change when I go to vacuum form the case.

polyproplne? probably melts at too high a temp. right?
where can i get sheets of plastic on the cheap?

http://usplastics.com is fairly cheap, their shipping isn't too bad either.

make sure you ask them to cut it down before they ship it!!!!! I forgot to tell them and if I didn't call them about cutting down the plastic it would've cost $80 for shipping :shock: !!!!!!!!!!
