Bic Sez... THIS IS ILLEGAL! THE ROMS HAVE BEEN DISABLED AS OF SEPTEMBER 1 2005
That's what Bic Sez.
its Fully Trusted, meaning its not Illegal, and it doesnt have Viruses or syware or adware, and you dont have to Download anything, unless you do not have the Current Java Virtual Machine....
the site is: http://www.everyvideogame.com/
the site has;
· All Games
· Nintendo
· Gameboy Advance
· Sega Master System
· Sega Game Gear
· Turbo Grafx-16
· Arcade
· Flash
all free Commercial Games, No download and its LEGAL
Proof that its Legal:
Just about everything can emulate old NES games these days. Your PC, Mac, Xbox, Dreamcast, PDA, GBA, etc. But what about your web browser?
EveryVideo Game has hundreds of games available on their site to be played directly in your browser using a Java emulator. You control the games with your keyboard just like a regular emulator, except you don't have to worry with downloading the game, finding the right emulator, etc. Just click on a game, and play!
Of course this is hardly legal, so who knows how long this site will be online. But it can be a fun lunch break diversion, while it lasts.

Its Hardly Legal, but its still LEGAL, HHAHA LOOP HOLE

how's it not illegal? it looks like one of those "I assume I can host it, but I'll remove it if notified by the right people" sites. (like most "abandonware" sites are)
not that I mind breaking the law, but why can't sites be honest about it?
even homebrew games are under copyright...

Ummm... that's illegal.
You're playing a copy of a commercial game without paying for it or owning a copy. And since it has "all" the commercial ROMS, they were ill-begotten anyways.
The only way to have free legal ROMs is to download homebrews or games that the ORIGINAL DEVELOPERS have released.
Since you're playing Mario games, Sonic games and such, they're ILLEGAL to play.
Sorry.
Sure they say it's legal, but they're just covering their arses so people don't rat them out to Nintendo and/or Universal and/or Sega.

I'm ratting them out to Nintendo.
Seriously.
And it's slow because it's java. Java sucks. (The drink's OK, but the program can be mighty sinister.)

All roms are illegal period. Unless they are public domain, homebrew, or released by the original company. The whole backup and "you can have the rom as long as you have the original game" is total crap. You legally are able to make a backup of your carts, but only if it is on the original medium. So even copying your own game onto your computer to burn it ont another cartridge would be illegal.
