Ok, so i am getting braces and i am scared.how is it does it hurt please tell me.

it might hurt a little getting them and it's uncomfortable after you get them but you get used to it

first 2 or 3 days may be anoying but just take an ibprofin if it hurts too bad and you dont have it bad unless they give u a herpst they suck you cant see it but it annoys the crap out of you i got my herpst off awhile ago and are getting my braces off november

meh I didnt think it was bad, just cleaning them was annoying I seemed to take the pain a lot better than my sister but she is a pansy scout, ha but yeah dont worry.

The first week sucks. All your teeth become loose as they adjust and its going to suck to chew stuff. If you are really unlucky, the braces will cause blisters on your lips and cheeks that burn and sting like you couldnt believe. If you are REALLY unlucky, a cyst (puss filled blister of infection) will form, and it might need to be removed.

Use listerene before you brush your teeth, and brush an hour or so after you eat. the listerene will kill any germs that are there. Sometims when you brush, you damage the gums at the base of your teeth, and any gemrs and bacteria could sneak in and cause problmes (honestly, i never had anything like that happen).

I had a really crappy orthodentist so it hurt pretty much the whole time. I was supposed to have them on for a year, but it ended up being almost 2 years.

Its not that bad after the first few days. You look kinda retarded, but lots of people have them. Im getting mine off around christmas. Its reallly hard to brush and floss, and my dentist (not orthodontist) gets mad at me for not flossing enough. Your gums grow(?) up to the bottom of your braces if you dont loss enough and you can get gingivitis, but its really not so bad.
