Here's the deal. I will be bringing my dev tools to MGC. I have quite a bit of work done on my racing game, but it's 1-player and is missing gameplay still.
Anybody got some ideas for a fairly simple game 2 players can play against each other? Maybe something like Scorched Earth, 2player battle, etc.

Controls are the D-pad, analog stick, and Z button. The D-pad moves the Shield up and down, while the analog stick moves the sword up and down. The Z-button stabs the sword. Players must defend themselves (not let the opponents sword get past their shield), while trying to stab past their opponents shield.
Some options could include: color selection (for swords/shields and backgrounds), or if you made it really in-depth, different types of sword/shields. It would sort of be like the faster the stab speed/movement the smaller the shield, and vice versa.

What about a two player Tetris clone, or would that be too involved?
Otherwise, Pong would be good too.
