But I need another game to play single player so what would people suggest in the Action RPG niche?
Fallout series?

As others have said...

Mass Effect 1 & 2 (I consider ME2 to be the best game I've ever played).
Fallout 3 (This would make my top ten)
Oblivion

Those games should keep you busy for quite awhile. :)

Zelda Ocarina of Time (N64, Gamecube, or Wii)
Zelda Twilight Princess (Gamecube or Wii)
Zelda Wind Waker (maybe not too fond of it) (Gamecube or Wii)
Zelda Spirit Tracks (DS)
Zelda Link to the Past (SNES I think there's a version for gamecube that will work on wii of course)
Zelda Minish Cap (GBA)
Chrono Trigger (SNES or DS)
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (GBA)
Mario & Luigi Partners in Time (DS)
Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (DS)
Final Fantasy IV (US SNES or Gameboy)
Undercroft (iphone)
Vay (Sega CD or iPhone)

PLay all of those and it should keep you busy for a while ;)

I'd have to say Bioshock 1 and 2. Just started playing Bioshock 2 the other night and it's sweet.

If you can run PSX emulators on your PC, play Legend of Legaia. If you've got the patience to play it, it's decent for its time.

Me too, dude. When I was 16 I spent like $90 altogether to get a PS2, that game, and a memory card just so I could play it again. I loved it.

Of course all the typical mainstream ones are good, but you might want to whip out your Saturn for Shining Force 3 or Panzer Dragoon Saga, or go portable with the Golden Sun series - I really enjoyed the Golden Suns for Gameboy Advance. The stories were quirky and nonsensical, but hey, did stopping everything to raise giant chickens when the world was about to end make any sense?

You could also whip out a Sega CD and play Lunar, Lunar II & Popful Mail :)

I guess you could also play the lunars on the PS1, as (I think) both were re-released on the PS1....but that's just not anywhere near as cool as playing them on a Sega CD ;)
