Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
I'm very partial to both, although I've been leaning more towards mac & cheese as of late.
Protip: use three cheese packets to make two boxes of mac & cheese. Supercheesy!

The three cheese shell type Mac and Cheese. Ramen? WAY to much sodium.
Pro Tip: Get a hot dog. Cut it into slices and put it in with the noodles as it boils. OM NOM NOM

Depends on what the mac and cheese is. If it's Kraft or similar, then it's easily ramen. However, if it's the good kind of mac and cheese with big noodles and a good sauce, then it's hard to resist that.

Walmart brand used to have normal mac and cheese and an "extra cheesy" kind. now they only have extra cheesy. The normal walmart brand was bad... not just low quality, but BAD.
I say mac and cheese though. velveeta.

Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
If it is the Anne's white cheddar, that is an instant win, even over other mac and cheeses.
I make ramen from scratch, and that is hard to beat.
This needs to be poll-er-ized! It's been a long time since we've had a poll on F42!

If I had to choose unmodified store bought Ramen or Mac & Cheese, I would take Kraft Mac & Cheese. Ramen is just kinda bleh. But, the best I have ever had was Ramen. It was about 10 packs of Ramen (I think it was beef) with hot dogs cooked with it. It was amazing, best hot dogs and best Ramen I have ever had.
Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
No thanks on Mac and Cheese.
Shells and Cheese is delicious though. It's just something about the shells that makes it so much better.
Ramen is good if you are high or really really hungry.

Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
Anybody ever try making Kraft mac and cheese, but use ramen noodles instead of the elbow macaroni?
I really don't like ramen when you make it with the pulverized bullion cube. It's got a million grams of sodium, and that's about it. even Kraft macaroni is better, unless you're using those shaped noodles. Even when I was a kid I didn't find them "fun"; hell sometimes they barely passed for "edible". You have to make them al dente so they hold their shape, but they're harder to begin with and they never really drain properly. Plus there's all those pockets and holes the powder can hide in, making it nearly impossible to get even distribution of cheese.
Original Kraft is good, but the one with alfredo sauce is even better. (Better still is making your own mac nad cheese casserole-style, but that's a lot of work.)
Day old Kraft M&C sucks though. It always gets gritty in the microwave, almost as bad as the side dish one that comes in Banquet frozen dinners.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS
That stuff is the BEST. I like it much better than kraft.
Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
There's a store in Canada called Bulk Barn that sells the cheese powder for like 3 bucks a pound. You can put it on pretty much anything
