Probably ramen, it doesnt have to be cooked and doesnt take as long as mac an cheese to cook. As for mac and cheese, I prefer the spirals, they seem to cook more evenly than the elbows.
+1 on the Velveeta

Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
comparing ramen to store bought mac and cheese, I would take chilly ramen noodles, but when it come to home-cooked velveeta mac and cheese with chilly powder, then that would win me over hands down.
rest in peace, Ronnie James Dio! \m/

Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
so you cant take 15 minutes and cook something better for your body then ramen?schmellyfart wrote:Ramen. Mac and cheese takes forever to cook.
You dont have to cook ramen either..
Granted Mac and Cheese ain't that good for you but the lack of super sodium makes a big deal. No wonder high blood pressure is rampant today.
Personally I would rather cook some spaghetti and make some sauce (from scratch) with italian sausage in it. Takes about 20 minutes. Tastes multitudes better then M&C or ramen.
I like cooking tho so

I cook real noodles, and eat them with ketchup. That's right.

Ramen is ok, on occasion, but the sodium is just horrible. Same with Cup 'o Noodles.
Velveeta Shells & Cheese FTW! El Pollo Loco has some pretty good mac & cheese.
Recently, one of my friends introduced me to adding corn to mac & cheese, it actually turned out pretty good.

Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
It depends. I would prefer real mac and cheese over ramen, but not that crap microwaveable mac and cheese. Since I only have a microwave, RAMEN.

Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
Mac and Cheese with ease.
The way to make it extra awesome is to take Kraft Mac & Cheese and add a couple slices of Kraft Singles to it when you're adding the powdery cheese in. Makes it nice and cheesy. Just the way it should be.

No I can't. The freshmen in the dorms (i.e. me) arent allowed to have/use a stove, toaster, toaster oven, hot plate, goerge foreman grill, etc in the dorms. Its stupid, I know. Besides, it's kinda hard to smuggle in a stove without anyone noticingRekarp wrote:so you cant take 15 minutes and cook something better for your body then ramen?schmellyfart wrote:Ramen. Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
I get around a similar scenario by using my "multicooker/steamer" thingamajig. Our rules are that you can't have anything with an "open heating element" so this works perfectly for cooking noodles.Rekarp wrote:I had the same thing but we where allowed a coffee maker.
