Yet another site test ;)

Post by khaag » Thu May 27, 2010 12:43 pm

It seems I've turned you guys into my personal beta testing team, but it's very helpful to have you guys test my sites on your machines. Could I get you to run the usual tests in all your browsers? Much appreciated!

Only "home" and "work" are functioning at the moment.

Looks good to me. But why is there extra blank space at the bottom? On a site like this, I shouldn't have to scroll on my monitor.

The only thing I noticed (that may or may not have been intentional, but it's worth letting you know): the links on the left have a blue border around each image. IIRC you add this to your img tag to get rid of the border:

Code: Select all

<img src="blah" border="0">
You could also probably get rid of the blue border with CSS, but I don't have experience with anything but very basic HTML stuffs.

(Oh btw this was using Firefox for Mac)

Fight MS Paint abominations! If you don't have a camera, go here, and pick something 3 megapixels or higher.

Blog is spelled with 1 G.
Also it looks great on a 1920 X 1080 widescreen monitor.

My blog is spelled with 2 g's. It's intentionally spelled like that; the tagline on the blog will be "The Blogg: Now with more G."

Fixed blue borders on links, will update in a few minutes with an updated version.

Looks fine in Opera 10.51, IE 8, IE 7, Firefox 3.6, and the latest version of Chrome.

Works on Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Wii opera, regular Opera, Internet Explorer, and, on my really old mac, netscape. (load times suck and display is awful, however.)
Cheers,

Images for text! I thought the rules of design said that's one of the top don'ts. Anyhow, it looks okay in Lynx.
