Hi,
I bought this screen like 3 years ago and I tried the LED MOD.
I cut the top transformer and plugged in 3 LED's. At the time I couldn't get the screen to work, but today I decided to go back and is working!
Well, somewhat.
I'm using 5V to light them up, and I'm using a 30ohm resistor on each.
This is my setup
At the end of each LED I got a 30ohm resistor.
Here is a diagram.
Now my problem is that my top right LED is at full brightness while the other 2 are really dim. I can barely see anything on the screen. Whats wrong?
After the first resistor, the current drops to 2.8 - 3 V, which is fine.
Thanks!

Power wire with resistor goes to each led + separately.
You don't jump the power wire from one to the next to the next.

I ended up not using the resistors. I found a 3V pad on the back. The only thing is that if the screen is off, the LEDs are bright, but once the LCD is on, the LCD goes darker making the LED no shine much.
Is this whats supposed to happen? Do I need stronger leds?
Thanks!
