PSP Screen cracked... really dumb question probably...

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

PSP Screen cracked... really dumb question probably...

Post by FatylPCs » Fri May 07, 2010 1:39 am

Ok so i was at work the other day and bumped against a counter, forgetting my psp(slim) was in my pocket. I have an older PSP PHAT laying around whos mobo is pretty much crap and wont display the XMB at all and hangs with the loading icon in the corner.

some of you probably will see where this is going BUT is it possible to rig up the Phat screen to work with the Slim mobo? if so, how would i need to wire it all up. i have to add that i dont have the $50 to buy a replacement screen at present.

I also have a couple of DS Lite LCDs hanging around if any one knows a way of rigging those to a PSP Slim mobo.

The connections may be similar, but there is a chance they are not the same. Open them up and try it out!
