Casio tv-470?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

You might be able to hook the RF connection from the NES to the antenna for the screen and just have it on channel 3 or 4. Thats my best guess for getting it to work without a video in.

Open up the TV and look for a trace on the board that says composite. If it has a composite input, then you can hook it up the same way you hook up a dvd player to a tv. You'll just have to do a little soldering instead of a simple plug n' play type deal.

If not: Where the headphone looking jack thing is connected to the controller card is just a positive and negative terminal. Hook up the positive terminal on the RF jack on the NES to the positive terminal on the TV and then do the same for the negative terminals and then set your TV to channel 3 and voila!

If you don't want to take it apart, you could always cut off the jack from an old pair of headphones and wire that up to the NES RF jack and then you can just plug that right into the TV. That way, if it doesn't work, you won't accidentally ruin your TV.

hey, what if I wanted to hook it to a superjoy or something else that uses the same kind of cables?

Edit: never mind, I had this window up a while ago on my sisters computer, she must have hit something.

hey kylechu-i just got a casio 470, and was wondering how things were going with yours. any tips? were you able to get the video in working? also, did you do an LED mod on it? i can see the light tube, but i'm not sure how to take it out without breaking stuff.

Well take it outside and break the tube. The remove what you can safely think you can remove of the tube. And the people here would be more than happy to help you do a LED mod on your screen.
