when you normaly plug the lcd into a psone, it gets 5V from the av port to automatically switch itself on. Since you aren't using that input, you will need to open up the lcd and tap 5V from one of the 7805s

rgb is too complicated on a ps2 without a mod chip or switch

The truth with RGB and the PS2...

According to people on the MB when you try and play a DVD on the PS2 with an RGB output it turns a green tint. This is believed because Sony's against piracy. So you have a few choices, 1; use the system only for games and keep the high res RGB signal, 2; Use composit so you have both, or 3; make a switch as Jack suggested so you can have RGB for games and compsit for movies.

Note- RGB is a video signal that has the red, blue and green split. This keep the signal from being weak or degrading, thats why its better then composit.

You can use the DVD Region Free CD. It allows you to watch imports and (as a complete side effect...) takes away the green tint when using RGB, beit connecting it directly to a Psone screen or using scart cables. Do a search on yahoo if you want to know more.

If it was me i wouldn't cause i know a lot of people that designed and built the chips for the ps2,zbox and gamecue just down the road from me at IBM East Fishkill and my Dad has a primary role in the new PS3 cell chip and to modify someything like that to me is a crime. Also a modchip is kinda grey area.

couldn't you put a resistor on the green line, which would weaken the green tint? Or would that screw up the green picture itself?
