How 'bout no. There should be some way to demand your money back, no? Complain to ebay that the guy sold you a defective item. Did he say it worked in the auction? If so you can probably get some money back. But still. I wouldnt swear because of this. And if you do feel so inclined to, dont bypass the language filter by typing SH1T, or whatever... And also, I wouldnt be bragging about getting banned. If you do on this board, it will be an IP ban, and you will not come back.riva16 wrote:Ban me then. Another forum already has, and i can still go there and post and everything. You can't keep me out. I wonder what happens if we throw some racial slurrs in there... Let's try it...
Well, it didn't do anything...
Not if you use an Ip scrambler... anyway... No, the auction wAS for a broken system, but he said only the PSU "might" be fried, and that there was no controller port. He did not mentioned he ripped the laser in half, hard to explain, and that there was a failed mod chip install. He claims he didn't know, but the auction shows the system dis-assembled... I don't care... Its too late, trust me... *Grabs old trusty shotgun*

How is replacing th ePSU harder. You unplug it and plug the new one on... Woo! Thats crazy! I HAVE installed a solder chip, twice, just something I'm not willing to go through again if the console just gonna break. This solderless will be perfect if another system goes under in like a year. I can just remove it nd re-install it within a half hour of each other.

yah but ps2 mods are really hard to do, were talking soldering onto legs of high density surface mount chips. compared to something like messing with a neogeo, which iirc just has a dip for the bios, its an insanley delicate procedure.JackFrost22 wrote:Yeah I know. A modchip if its like a soldered bios I did on my MVS it just takes time. Otherwise its easy
Well, the best idea I can think of is to sell the DMS4 E.Z.I. for close to what I paid to get as much of it back as i can, and get a really good top of the line chip to solder on. I won't do solder jobs ont he DSP chip, so DMS3 and 4 chips are out of the picture. I just sold my Messiah 2 PRO and Duo 2 SE chips... Dang it! I also need some new 30 AWG Kynar wire...
Well, its taken forever, but I finally got a working PS2... I installed the DMS4 E.Z.I. within a 1/2 hour of getting the system... Well, it works fine! How can anybody screw that up? It was sooooo EASY! It took me 1 hour or so.... I had to troubleshoot an eject problem... Turns out I had a ground loop. I noticed it once i had the system board only, no shields... Well, it worked, so sorry, you can't laugh at me... My only problem is buring the Toxic BIOS... I can't get a working copy... How can i burn the .bin and .cue files correct for boot?
I just want everybody to see...
