N64 controller in a Gamecube controller?

I've been considering gutting an N64 controller and putting it in a Gamecube controller case. I would probably use the C-stick in place of the N64's C buttons. I know how to use a GC C-stick instead of the C buttons, but I'm pretty much clueless on the rest. Anyone have any tips/ideas?
