This is my new N64p. I have worked on it off and on for about 7 months now and am finally finished. Here are some of its features:

Zenith Screen, unmodded
9v 5400mAh battery (4 hours)
a/v out port
1st and 2nd player controller ports, with 1st player switch
super pad controller
DC-96P case from polycase.com

Tell me what you think!

Very nice work man! although I would've reveresed the placement of the analog stick and the d pad. Doesn't look very cofertable to use the analog stick.

Watch to the end of the video, he says he entered it into a scholarship contest for best childhood toy. Woody, move over.

It is not terribly uncomfortable to hold as it is now, but it would have been a lot better if I had switched the two. The only reason I didn't was because I didn't want to rewire the controller, but this won't be an obstacle in my future portables.

Yeah, I can't wait to see yours. Your casework is a ton better. Considering I'm only 17 and had zero experience in any of this before I started this project, I'm happy with the way mine turned out. But when yours comes out it truly will be amazing. I've always been a fan of the super pad, and I do like vertical n64ps.

Thanks. I hope I win too. I can't imagine a better toy. Plus it would be nice because although my parents are proud of me for my accomplishments, they would have liked it if I had devoted as much time to my schoolwork as I have to this, and it would be nice to show them the scholarship that it earned me.

whats the maH pull on an unmodded screen and an n64? I think hailrazer said it was 1900 but that doesn't make sense because you say you get 4 hours off your 5400maH batteries. If the maH pull is 1900 you would only get a little less than 3 hours

He's not using the expansion pack so the pull is around 1700mA.
So 5400/1700= 3.2 hours or thereabouts.

Also the sound draw might be less with mono sound.

the sound is not mono inside the system, the system itself is stereo. the only reason i wired the av out ports to be mono is because i had the extra cable and ports that were mono, and i didn't think i would be using the av out ports enough to care whether it was mono or stereo, so i just decided to use what i had and save money. but inside the system it is stereo.

ohh i gave it a complete overhaul. i dremeled the casing open, placed the 6 individual cells in different areas inside the portable, relocated the charging jack, and put the LEDs on the back so i could check any time. but i really like how you did it, keeping it intact and making the whole thing removable, thats pretty smart.
