I have also made a small update to the Motherboard Revisions Guide. Thanks to a little investigating by blaze3927 I found out that the NUS-CPU(P)-03-1 is not only missing SMD components for S-Video output, but that Nintendo deliberately connected the Luma and Chroma signal directly to ground, so this revision does not have any S-Video output as standard (Ninty must have been really cheap to want to save costs on four SMD components! ) For anyone interested I have added a little info about this under the NUS-CPU(P)-03-1 section.

The mine is a NM10 too (I can't open it because I haven't a gamebit), and I only sure this is not a Brazilian console. The BR ones have the PAL-M color system and have a automatic language selection screen when the game is inserted.NUS-CPU-06
NM10218161
Hmm, thats interesting, your serial number doesnt match with any of the others so im not sure where to place it Is this perhaps an Australian, Brazillian or Hong Kong N64?

Re: Nintendo 64 Motherboard Revisions/Serials Info Request
Hi,
I'm new to the forum and found this thread because I was searching information for my RGB mod.
I have quite a few consoles and hope I can help with these infos:
Another thing: on my first PAL console (NUP10...) there is a "DC 3.3V, DC12V" sticker instead of the plastic imprint near the power supply. On the bigger sticker with "Control Deck..." it also reads NUS-EUR instead of NUS-EUR-1 on all other consoles.
Edit:
Pictures of an unmodded NUS-CPU-04 (NS151498299):

Re: Nintendo 64 Motherboard Revisions/Serials Info Request
i tried to do this exact same thing with Sega Saturn boards several years ago.
Figured i'd add my system to your list:
Model: NUS-001(USA)
Serial: NS303090722
Gold N64, confirmed translucent green cart area beneath cart doors. Don't know where my gamebit driver is, otherwise i'd pull off the case.
On a side note, do you happen to know if the case from this system is compatible with a motherboard from an easy RGB moddable system? I'm looking to case swap and RGB mod.
thanks

All the cases are compatible (though the cart slots, which is green on yours, is different between PAL/JAP and USA)A Murder of Crows wrote:i tried to do this exact same thing with Sega Saturn boards several years ago.

Re: Nintendo 64 Motherboard Revisions/Serials Info Request
NUS-CPU-09-1 motherboards aren't just the limited edition gold systems. I have a Pikachu model N64 with an NUS-CPU-09-1 motherboard and serial number NUJ15849791. The plastic present beneath the cartridge slot is black rather than green. I'll upload some photos to prove it tomorrow, but at the moment my internet isn't up to it.
Slightly off topic, It is mentioned the first post that the later the motherboard revision the more cheaply the console is manufactured. I've read time and time again that later motherboard revisions are required for a stable overclock, but is there any revision that is too late and too cheaply made to overclock without random crashes and other surprises?
EDIT
Here are the photos. I know they're a few days late, but I doubt anyone really cares . I couldn't figure out how to use the image uploader on the forums and I'm rushed at the moment so click the MediaFire links.

Re: Nintendo 64 Motherboard Revisions/Serials Info Request
Thought I would add my Japanese N64 to the collection of serial numbers. Supposedly from the seller I bought it from, it's was a factory RGB ready system. The soldering job is very clean so I have no idea if that's true or not, either way the only thing this system needs is an RGB amp.
NUJ10361132 - NUS-CPU-02 - Black
Adding my American systems in the mix too.
NS116811347 - NUS-CPU-03 - Black
NS143687946 - NUS-CPU-04 - Black (I'm very happy I fixed this one, the shielding was shorting the power supply somehow)
NS284250009 - NUS-CPU-08-1 - Jungle Green
NUJ10361132 - NUS-CPU-02 - Black

My Nintendo 64's serial number is NS220158185. I haven't got the bits to tear into it. Any ideas as far as the hardware revision and such?

You most likely have an NUS-CPU-05 motherboard.ikoniq wrote:My Nintendo 64's serial number is NS220158185. I haven't got the bits to tear into it. Any ideas as far as the hardware revision and such?

Re: Nintendo 64 Motherboard Revisions/Serials Info Request
This might be a bit late in the game, but I thought someone might be interested to know that I've found a rev 9-1 motherboard in a machine other than a gold Toys R Us model.
It's a Canadian "Ice blue" N64 which shows no signs of having previously been opened, though I cannot be absolutely sure that it hasn't been.
The cartridge slot plastic is translucent white, not green.
The serial number is NS610081123
The motherboard reads NUS-CPU-09-1, copyright 2000.
Since I wasn't the original owner, I can't say if the unit's been repaired or not.
