Reverted portable - power LED and P1 port no longer work

Post by JeffMan » Sun May 11, 2008 3:16 pm

I decided to dismantle my SNESp from a couple years ago and turn it back into a console. However, this problem came up; remembering back, I may have even had this problem from when I was in the process of portablizing it.

Anyways, when I turn the console on, everything (including the P2 port) works perfectly except for the power LED (just doesn't turn on) and the P1 port (no button response). I've inspected all contacts and connections in that front area and can't see anything wrong. Is there something I might be missing? I did originally have my portable controller wired directly to the pads on the back of the P1 port, for what it's worth.
