I got it today. I have been playing it today and i just have one question. Does the light gun actually work because i can't get it to work?

Did you try pluggin it in before you turn it on? Those things are finicky but great fun!

If you're using an LCD screen, no the light gun won't work. The way the light gun works, is when you press the trigger, the TV flashes white spots where the object is, then the gun sees that if it is pointed at it. I've heard the gun only detects CRT rays, LCD screens are too dim.

i figured it out. I used it on a hdtv witch has a different screen than a normal tv. I am now playing duck hunt. Yay. I just have 1 more question. on the back of the main controller there is a black thing that is in the controller that is about the size of a nes cart is this the cart slot?(i know i need a converter, thx gannon :) )
