Cool! Is it meant to stay closed up, with the CD in there forever? Or is it able to have the disks switched?

Well, it`s pretty much stuck inside. Anyway it`s not possible to play PSX games since 6 buttons are missing now.

You need modchip to read burned CDs.

I like it . Great Idea.
Use a cheap $5 Ps1 and a $5 chip to play all Nes games .
Nicely done and way to think outside the box.
A+

How well does it play the games? I tried that emulator years ago, and it was extremely slow and had weird audio.

I don`t play a lot of different games, but the games that I tried work almost perfect. Megaman is about 10% slower but only music. Joypad response is perfect, the only bad thing is mapper support. A lot of hacks and xxxx in 1 are not working at all.

Easier way to do this would be a Dreamcast, no need to modchip it and I haven't found a rom it has problems with yet.

Maybe, but much much more expensive and you need to destroy two joypads and the precious sega (I have about 8 PSX, so I don`t feel bad cutting one in half). I had an Idea to put dreamcast inside commodore 64 and make keyboard functional...
