xbox 360 laptop

im stuck on how to let the monitor and xbox 360 share the power from the power brick(xbox 360 laptop). Any advice?

Yes. Research what Serial wiring is, and what Parallel wiring does in a circuit.

I found this is the simplest way to do it and it is how I did it:
Get a universal inverter for you screen (not that expensive from ebay)
Connect the inverter to the screen, and get the 12v power cables from it
find a pinout for the xbox 360 motherboard power connector plug , and find the 12v and GND lines, and solder the wires from the inverter onto them.
Supply the monitor controller board with the correct amount of power by doing the same (be carefull though, they usually take 5v instead of 12v)
Connect the VGA cable from the xbox to the screen.
Turn it on, and it should all work.

Take the powersupply apart you will see the live and neutral. Then gently splice the powercord to the monitor and fray it back exposing the wires ground is usally black. Using a multimeter hook in the cord and test which when is the live. Now just splice together and solder them together and put the powerbrick back together. Easiest way I did mine!
