I am getting a new 360 jasper and I want to put in better fans. This will be my 1st mod-3rd time opening a 360! UNREADABLE DISK/RROD I have an idea of what I want, but I don't know what materials I need!
*I want the fans to be powerful/have their own power source/fit in the case if possible*

Re: Help me build a fan(cooling)mod for Xbox360
Anyone know where I can find a good fan for cooling a computer?
I might be able to mod the case to hold it, and rig it to plug in the wall

Re: Help me build a fan(cooling)mod for Xbox360
- Put a fan next to it
- Don't put it on a confined shelf (or at least take it off the shelf when you're using it to give it some breathing room)
- Get a PC case fan or two and wire it/them up to a 12v wall wart
- Leave it vertical (heat rises)
- Put some of those stick-on rubber chair feet on the side you choose as the bottom to let air flow better
But in all honesty, they mostly fixed the overheating problem. As long as there's enough space around it for air to easily circulate, you shouldn't have any problems.
Moving to 360/PS3/Wii, where this belongs.

Hmm. Really? In one of the other topics, Black Six said it is better off horizontal, because the largest fan/vent is on the bottom piece. (The bottom when it is vertical, right side when horizontal)bicostp wrote:- Put a fan next to it
