http://gbax.com/gp2x2006/gp2x2006comp.html as many of you might know the gp2x is aweosme, but it cant run visualbasic code, so someone needs to convert it to either c/c+ etc or ARM asm using either SDL libs or some variant like some on gp32x have made (minilibs etc) and the coding contest is xelent impetuous to do it! you could win a prize! comeon osmeone go at it! have marshall give you the sourcecode etc, we can work it out

Wanna rename the to "I don't want a job, I like to mooch and take advantage of people because I'm making a game fund!" fund.marshallh wrote:If I had a GP2x I would take a stab at it. *hint hint*
Maybe once the game is done I should set up a "Get Marshall a GP2x Fund"?
No, you know I'm kidding.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to program Gp2x. Hopefully I'll learn, and get a Gp2x while I'm at it!

you dont need a 2x to port it, just get the sdk and libs and port the VB code to C (nox86 code stuff) or ARM asm go to the dev section of the gp32x forum and ask around for more info

have to keep hardware and software in mind, the 2x will probably be able to run the game but not without optimization i HIGHLY doubt the DS could

1. A DS port is highly unlikely, I don't have the tools (WifiMe/Passme, flashcart) to develop for the DS.
2. Porting GTP to a GP2x, well, requires a GP2x. It's kinda hard to develop for something when you can't test your code!
When I was making a tennis game for the onHand PC, I ended up recompiling/uploading/running to the small watch pc. I did this at least a couple hundred times, to the point where the connectors on the watch were slightly worn down and dulled.
If I had the money for a GP2x I'd get one but I'm saving for the Revolution.
