If it comes down to it, I can write. It has to be somebody with extensive knowledge of Ben's nuances (look in page 7 of the old news thread for starters.)

If anybody is wondering why I haven't posted a news update, it's because I'm reading up on the DX8 SDK as well as the WMP activex control.
The Gang Of Lucretius is currently my desktop background, it helps me stay on task. No, really! When I see all the cars in the parking lot, I am reminded of the need for more cars in GTP!

This is a silly statement from the beginning as you said you were using VB for the language, but have you concidered openGL? it would be easier to port to other platforms (ie. linux and mac) if it used openGL rather than direct x

Err... Bump?...

How many people have sent in entries so far? I'd really like to know who did (so I know who my competition is  ). Anyway, I wonder when Luc will come to a decision...

I forgot to write this in my entry to the scriptwriter contest, so I'll post my idea here:

The game will take place in an area absolutely mimicking Madison, Wisconsin. But there's a twist. To follow the GTA theme of the game, I have devised a street called "Portable Street" that runs through the town. This street will divide the city in such a way that each portion will be virtually equal to another. Each seperate portion is conrolled by one major gang and several lesser gangs. The major gangs will be based off the latest chain signatures to the forums. These are: Bunny, Kitty, and Snail (there was a reason I enlisted you  ). Though each of these different gangs carry different parts, the lesser gangs you help will really determine which portable you end up building. There will be one or more of the Mods for each forum to help you whichever portable path you may take (I.E. The most linear one involves Ben creating an Atarip, Spongey will be the person with all the Atari know-how). The parts each gang controlls go as followed:

Bunny: Controller Parts
-Hamster: Ataris, NESs (these include NOACs, though these are harder to obtain)
-Mouse: Plastic (for case)

Kitty: Screens
-Dead Bunny: N64s, PSOnes
-Dead Mouse: Advanced and refined tools

Snail: General Goods/Tools
-Fish: 16-bit Gen. Consoles (Radicas are similar to NOACs here)
-Duck: Information on hacking of all consoles

The Big Corporation: CNC machine

If I have left anything out, let me know and the list can be changed... Gawd I hope Luc sees this before the judging...
