Integration of Synaps 15.4 LCD Monitor into PC Chassis

Hi, I have an old Synaps 15.4 LCD monitor that I am taking apart. I have a problem about wiring the power connections. According to the specifications, the monitor has consumption rating of 100-240V, 50/60 Hz, and 0.8A max. I would like to modify the monitor to use molex connectors to use the computer PSU as the external power supply. The monitor has two circuit boards and the inverter lamp is connected to the power supply. For now, I'm not worried about the inverter lamp. I can see where the power supply board is connected to the controller board. The connector has 8 pins: 1) 12V, 2) 12V, 3) ON/OFF, 4) ADJ, 5) GND, 6) 5V, 7) 5V, GND. I would like to find out if the 12V, 5V, and GND pins can be wired directly to the appropriate molex connectors. I would also like to learn what the ON/OFF and ADJ pins mean and what they are used for.

I don't see why you couldn't connect it up. I am concerned about the ON/OFF and ADJ pins because I don't know what they do and what to do with them.

If the high-voltage inverter is on the same PCB as the power supply, the ON/OFF controls the inverter. Check their voltage when the unit is on, off, and compare the two. I believe you'll need both to be brought up to 5V for TTL to turn the inverter on and at full power.
