Google search INSIDE your wallpaper

Post by Mario » Sun Nov 25, 2007 2:08 pm

No, this is not Google Desktop Search. Who wants that?
This is something I made. It is a google search, except there are just two small boxes in the corner of your screen.
Image
You just type something in, and an internet window will come up with your search results!
The top box is a I'm Feeling Lucky search, it will take you to the website that matched your terms closest. The bottom box is just a plain search.
The zip comes with three html files: one has both searches, one has only an I'm Feeling Lucky Search, and one has only the standard Google Search. Various text files are included to show you how to change the background, how to fill the box with any color, how to change the text box size, and how to change the text color. Questions or Comments PM Mario or post in this thread.

No, it's great. I have USB compatibility working, and both my flash drives are compatible, I can play simple but fun games, surf the web, lots of things! It's great. 8)

Kindof. I had to do some editing. If you notice in the screenie, there are only two small boxes in the upper-right hand corner. The top one is an I'm Feeling Lucky Search, and the bottom one is a Google Search.

Yay, Active Desktop!

You must have Win95 OSR2. (With IE4 and USB support integrated.) Sometime you should try using 98lite to swap out the old Windows 95 shell onto 98 so you get all of its hardware and program support.

I have IE5. Booya. 8)
I tried 98Lite once. Disasterous things happened... *shudder*

95 is great. All the programs I want to use work, and all hardware in the laptop (Yes, this is a laptop we are talking about.) is supported with no problems, AND I have an inf file made for Windows95 that supports nearly every USB flash device. I love my laptop. 8)

But why would you want to run on such an outdated piece of hardware? Can't an XP laptop run the programs you want to use fine? And why are you excited about running IE5? Isn't that like so 1998?

IE sucks, especially IE 1-7. At least get firefox or opera; they both work on 95.

Yes, it is.
But it's the only laptop I had.
