What was that about a long drive?
Image

1050 miles. A two day drive if I really really push it. I think Rekarp and I are about the same distance away.

Edit: Another pagebreak? Jebus...

Screw that. I'd rather take the train. (They're not as paranoid as the airlines.)

A direct route would be 1020miles for me. But I am going to stop by friends places on the way so your looking at 1300ish miles one way.

That's where Gannon used to go to school... I think he transferred, though :P

Yep good old Michigan Tech. He lives Ishpaming, which is about 3 hours east of Houghton. Now that was a long drive. Going to get Gannon and then down to MGC. About eight hours from my house to Gannon's.

I'm going the same next year as last year. I'm driving I-94 from Michigan to Milwaukee. Like before If anyone is along that route I can see about picking you up. And CronoTriggerfan, if you're reading this I can take you, after all you live about an hour's drive north of me.

Heres a map for that.

Schmelly has to drive from A to B, I have to drive from B to C. B to C is about 22 hours (I used Milwaukee as the destination, close enough). Doable in one day if we have drivers to switch between. I'll be the only one that can drive if I take my parents' car, but if I get my own car and I trust my riders, they can drive (I can get a mid-90s Subaru Legacy wagon with a dead engine for free, it'll cost ~$500 for a working engine). Either car I take will be a stick shift, so drivers will have to be good enough to at least make it to 5th gear. I bet I have the longest stretch on a single road, 1,008 miles on I-80 E. 8)
I'm still not sure if I'll be able to go. I have enough saved up to pay for the trip, so any job I get only has to cover my insurance and an engine for the Subaru (if I go that route). Now that I think about it, I can almost for sure go.

Is it me or is this whole thing starting to look like a massive road trip for a lot of us?

Cause really man the miles so of you are driving is almost insane. I only say that because when I drive 1500 miles to Nebraska there is at least one other driver with me. And the only time I'm driving more then that is to a wedding. So, you guys have either extremely comfortable car seats, a 30-pack of Monster or just more hyped then I even am.

164.1 miles, estimated 3 hours. Not as short a drive as Ben, but it'll do.

Only 116 miles for me from Chicago-abouts. When it was in Oconomowoc it was about 135. Hopefully the Sheraton has a bar/Friday night karaoke.
