Some information and pictures on the ZSSR5391A power supply from the PlayStation 3. This was the first version of the power supply used in the launch models (CECHA01, CECHB01). I highly recommend you avoid using these at all costs as they are prone to overheating, which can cause YLOD and other related issues. If you are planning to make a PS3 portable, go with a more efficient model that uses less electricity.

Are these same for the PS3 Slim? I would assume so.

Not only do those power supplies run hotter and fail more, but they consume more electricity. The power supplies with square vent holes is what you want, and work with all the early PS3 models.
The later power supplies (with steel and/or plastic casings) do not work with the backward compatible PS3 systems because they deliver less amperage.
