Ben Heck made a tutorial on making a solid state AV switch box like this one: http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/13/how- ... -switcher/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but the post didn't mention specifically what kind of push button switch was used. Is it momentary switch like the kinds on controller buttons. Or is it the push-on-push-off type like the power switch on 8 bit NES?
I wanted to build 2 of them, one with older composite video for older consoles (including AV modded Atari 2600, 5200, Intellivision, etc) and a second one with component for newer systems. But no one makes a proper 12 ports AV switch box, and I don't want to stack up a bunch of smaller AV switch boxes (plus at about $20 per 3 ports, it gets more expensive than a homemade 12 ports switch box)
What kind of switch for this AV box project?
