To put it short, after a very long time, I finally got a ps3 slim with 160 GB (ill extend the storage capacity someday) and I finally had the thought to try and use my PS3 controller for my pc, only problem is: there are numerous how-to's for this, numerous driver/program files for this kind of thing, and I do not know if they would work with my controller, much less my computer
My computer runs Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit, and I have the official microsoft xbox 360 driver/program downloaded onto my computer (with the 360 pc adapter plugged in of course), and I do not know which one would be able to work with my computer without compromising the 360 driver/program I have installed already
Can anyone help, and if this is in the wrong sub-forum, can I get this moved in the proper sub-forum section please?

It would help a lot if your computer was capable of Bluetooth.
The USB drivers have so far not worked for me.
Also, if you extend drive size, you lose what's on that drive.

Yeah, it probably would help if my computer was bluetooth capable, but ill save that for my new computer
And as for drive extension for my PS3 (not my PC), I know how to transfer the data safely and correctly over the drives, but until I get my new computer, USB is all I got

hello, is anyone here?
This topic of mine is one of those things that if I don't get it solved completely, that it'll bug the (censored) out of me until I get it done, and to be frank, ill need to be level headed if I try Asura's Wrath on hard difficulty

go on google and look up motioninjoy. its a custom driver software to use for ps3 controller on pc. Many users use it and I've found no problems using it. The only down side is that it uses advertizements as a way to monetize it so it can be a bit annoying ( I heard there was a fix that let you run it in offline mode but I have no idea if that is safe).

Re: PS3 Controller for PC (help, details inside)
But this is the deal, I got a driver from then microsoft website that lets me use my 360 controller on my pc, and I do not know if MotioninJoy will affect it
I could make a system restore point to reverse the damage if it happens, but I want to be sure that it wont mess with it, plus, with other games I got installed (mainly portal 2), this will mean I got 2 gamepads installed; will I be able to switch from one to the other successfully, and if so, how?
I got a tutorial on the installation of MotioninJoy here: http://www.gamefront.com/how-to-use-a-p ... r-on-a-pc/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: PS3 Controller for PC (help, details inside)
I suggest uninstalling the driver you installed previously. Motioninjoy can emulate your ps3 controller to be a xbox 360 controller and with joytokey or xpadder you can bind those xbox 360 buttons to any keyboard input or mouse input/movement

Don't listen to him. Motioninjoy will not affect your Xbox 360 controller. Having said that, I never got motioninjoy to work for me.

Re: PS3 Controller for PC (help, details inside)
Forgive me if this seems necroposting (found this in my bookmarks tab, mgiht as well go see if anything new is up), but is there REALLY anyway to use the ps3 controller with only the right usb cable and whatever software/driver with a video game of whatever type?
Or should I just leave this topic and ask a mod/admin to lock it?
