LCD from a laptop

Post by crc32 » Fri Apr 22, 2011 3:16 am

I have a 15" Widescreen lcd panel from my old laptop. I was wondering what I could do with it. I assume, that some parts needed to run it, may have been built into the motherboard. Or, is it possible just to pin out the connector to a power source, and a vga/hdmi connector? When I removed it from the laptop, I kept the power board, and cable.

It's a 15.4 wxga AU Optronics B154EW04 V.B

You need a controller. Search on eBay for "LCD controller kit".
