as the subject says, the current how to book covers old consoles; this one would cover all up-to-date consoles like the ps3, 360, 360 elite, 360 slim, ps3 slim etc etc... , and even some of the old ones like nintendo 64, ps2, and gamecube
I know we could ask people to do it for us, but sometimes, the final asking price is something that we don't want; also, this would be great for people who want to try their hand at modding on their own
the how to steps would basically be ones that have been handpicked by benheck himself, or from benheck himself
food for thought?

read the topic title, and my original message carefully; this is about an UPDATED how to book, not the old onestupidity395 wrote:If you go on amazon and search for benhecks book, it sells new for 150GBP!!!

I vote no, because it is REALLY annoying when noobs make everything step-by-step, then sell it when creative people who know what they're doing instead of "solder a wire from A to B cuz it said to lolol" can't get recognition. Plus, it encourages laziness and takes the fun/ uniqueness out of modding.
Cheers,

Everyone has to start somewhere. I started out by reading Ben's book and following stuff step by step until I had learned enough to strike out on my own.Basement_Modder wrote:Plus, it encourages laziness and takes the fun/ uniqueness out of modding.

Re: Updated How-To Mod book (covers laptops and portables)
True. That book taught you how, and now you would know the theory of modding well enough to work on newer systems not included in it. The idea of having people who need step-by-step instructions to make an NESp attempt to make a PS3 laptop is absurd. The old book is good enough.
