D+Pad Hero Guitar Controller

Post by thewizdawg » Sun Mar 29, 2009 7:26 am

Yesterday I was bored and decided to make a guitar controller for the NES homebrew game D+Pad Hero. The game itself is pretty cool although some of the songs are hard. The only one I can play somewhat well is Sweet Child o' Mine by GNR.

Pictures and video can be found at http://thewizdawg.blogspot.com/

Yes I used the PowerPak from RetroZone. At MGC somebody was selling carts or if you had the right equipment you could build your own from a donor cart (but that's another thread).

Damnit, you beat me to it. Eagle5953 suggested I do that mod at MGC, I wasn't able to get a copy of D-Pad Hero yet.

I will say it looks cool that you made one. And it's good to know that I'm not the only person that wanted to make this mod who doesn't have the best skills on Guitar Hero.

If you get a chance let me know where you got the D-Pad Hero cartridge.

And once again, awesome work.

A PowerPak is actually an awesome idea for use with an NES portable, as wiz showed me in person at MGC.

I love the guitar hack.
