Well thanks to everyone who helped me finish mostly Marshallh. Its not perfect but its totally finished i need to make some covers for the top and bottom and it needs a battery but the good thing is there is room inside left for a battery. It would look great with new paint but i dont know if i want to take it apart lol. I didnt relocate the cart slot because i didnt wana fry the n64 it was a 1999 version. It does however have a memory card slot but i dont have an n64 memory card to put in it. The joystick is set back in the case because it fit best that way but kind of like it like that because this way it wont stick out. I need to relocate the z button to the back of the case for goldeneye.

May I just ask why the pics are from 2007. Did you put it off for 2 years or never get around to posting? I love it by the way! Its awesome!

EWWWW YOBO CONTROLLER. Nice job on finishing it though And, that plate that you have on the bottom, why is it there? Won't that reduce airflow?

That's pretty B.A. I like how the C buttons are off the upper right corner. It probably makes it easier to hold, right? Plus, you have the A-B buttons closer to your thumb.

A little rough. Regardless, nice job!
How thick is it?
How thick is it?
Re: Finished N64p In psone case and pics
Thanks guys, i know it looks a little rough i have some work yet to do to it like make better covers for the top and bottom and stuff, Its a little under 2 inches thick, shakespere, i dont know what u mean by huge its way smaller then an n64 but its quite thick, i dont really care its really solid from the aluminum sides. And like i said it can fit an internal battery, as for the controller i had a first party but didnt want to use it, although i think ill put a more modern joystick in it later. it could use painting but ya i dont want to take it apart again.
oh yea for the picks the camera was set way wrong they are from today but i did actually first make the case 3 years ago and i fried the system, so i made better sides for it and found a new n64 for 10 dollars so i finished it. I am quite happy with this and its definatly my best work, i will post more pics when i clean up the looks of it.
ohh and that plate your talking about is my stock heatsink, it stays cool especially with the fan its overkill.
Man this think took me a lot of beer to finish
Ohh yea i remember when i first started making this thing.... i would of been the smallest n64p at the time. The case was originally designed to be thinner but i thickened it up and i dont regret it.
haha oh and yes its very nice to hold with the way the controls are except i need to move the z button to the bottom of the case because its too thick and you dont get a good grip on the joystick for goldeneye which is half the reason i made it in the first place.

Hah, nice. I was working on this design a few years ago, but in my inexperience fried a N64. Glad to see somebody tackle the idea and get it done.
My first NES portable also had tape on it... Ah, how far we've come since then. Nice work.

Re: Finished N64p In psone case and pics
Haha thanks man. I have a question about why my system is freezing. The screen is led modded and im running it off of a sony psone 7.5 volt wall adapter. It always just runs fine then seems to crash when the game has gotten to a big part (it resets itself), or its doing something complicated like loading a stage. I think i need to have more power going to it. Its defiantly not from overheating because it doesn't even get warm. Im going to try to run it on batteries and aim for 8 volts. All i have right now is rechargeable aa's rated at 2500 mah. would it make sense that it needs more juice? thanks.

Re: Finished N64p In psone case and pics
Im no expert, but I think that happens when the 3.3v line isnt getting enough amps.

Beauty is on the inside, right? If so then you have a beautiful N64.
Loving the ghetto look. You should really make more portables.
