hey i cant find a casio ev-680 or cinevision as described in the book anywhere, has anyone seen one for sale?

Well, there are some on ebay still, if your lucky, but pretty much all of them are gone.

it seems i have run out of luck do any other portable televisions have 2 circuit boards so they are easy to fold?

Look around on Dealextreme.com, they have some cheap tiny 2.5" screens that are small enought that you don't have to fold them.
