NES hand-built AV power questions

Now I have posted something like this in the NES section, but I figured this was the right place.

I'm working on the NES hand built portable and i've got an 'extra credit question.' It doesn't say to do this, but I was going to add custom AV jacks so I can play on the TV. Another member said this was possible, but I have a question of how this can be done. I know,I was going to solder the av jacks to AV input, but will this divert all the data to only the TV(bad), only the PS1 screen(bad), short out in some way(bad), or both the TV and PS1 screen simultaneousely(good)?
