Well, using the compatibility lists here as a starting point: Mobo: ASUS SABERTOOTH P67 (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard LGA1155 (Sandy Bridge), listed as compatible with OS X, quite nice all around, has SATA III, supports up to 32GB of RAM, some nice bells and w...

It's been awhile, so: [imgYEAH]http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/299054_2079322419427_1136010274_31957492_592698036_n.jpg[/img] With my girlfriend Amber and her pretty doggie Chloe. It seems like the names should be swapped. :P SS I don't get it? Also, Halloween costume (lots of ...

Re: The Afternoon projects thread.
Bought a cheap 12.5mm f/1.3 Computar lens designed for CCTVs and the like. Even with the appropriate adapter it wouldn't focus to infinity on my camera, only up to about a foot away, so today I shaved down the rear of the lens with my dremel. This way it can sit closer to my sensor and focus to infi...

Re: Gameboy - Do not use recharable batteries?

Ignore these guys are acting all negative. That's pretty awesome. "Because you can" is a good enough reason to do anything. Things don't need to be practical to be fun.

Re: what's the dumbest thing a non-hacker has said to you?
New guy at work has proven to be an unending source of facepalm moments for me. He told me he wants to work in the electronics department because he's the biggest electronics geek I've ever met. Parts harvested so far: a few EEPROMs, an EPROM, some microcontrollers, Analog Devices D/A converters , assorted surface mount components, assorted through-hole discrete components, and a couple dozen DIP sockets (only a couple of which I've completely ruined http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14073868/pictur...
