Re: t64 Resurrection
toner-transfer method is still a good interim step before gearing up to direct to PCB printing, and potentially more accurate than his current transparency/photoresist setup, correct me if i'm wrong :) No, you're definitely right. Fully agreed there. and as to the cnc/plotter idea, the only problem...

Re: t64 Resurrection
My ultimate design, since I want to build a nice CNC machine anyway, would be a CNC machine set up as a essentially as plotter with a tiny nozzle (print head?) with etch-resistant ink pumped into it. How's that for lazy? But, this would basically give vector quality traces - literally unachiev...

Re: t64 Resurrection
You should be able to make a small PCB in the same footprint as the Jumper Pak connector, and solder it flat to the mobo. I think that's basically what Marshall did, or somebody anyway, except they literally laid the Jumper Pak PCB itself down against the mobo, in place of the connector, secured it ...

Re: t64 Resurrection
*sigh* Okay, so yes, I tend to go overboard when I get insulted. Like, a lot. Calling me a troll will warrant a torrent of words, none of them good. Did I overreact? Yeah, apparently, as everyone seems to be telling me - on the forums and off. Was it provoked? Yeah, partially. I'll retract the state...

Re: t64 Resurrection
Huh. Two questions: 1. What the HELL are you talking about? 2. Who the HELL do you think you are? It was a metaphorical e-cookie. It's a COMPLIMENT to your success - assuming you did in fact manage to do as you said. But it seems as though all that knowledge about the workings of N64 hardware you've...

Re: t64 Resurrection
Your next step is to get rid of the Jumper Pak entirely and find a new place to solder on those terminating pull up resistors and decoupling caps... good luck with that. I find your lack of faith disturbing. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/images/smilies/star-wars-darth-vader-smiley-002.gif M...

Re: t64 Resurrection
FFFFFUUUUUUU I accidentally deleted what I had written.... here goes again. EDIT: Right... you're referring to their model numbers. It's not just the model numbers, 36Mbit is 36 Million bits, not bytes, 18Mbit, etc. 4 and 2Mbyte respectively. The "b" whether capital or lower case makes a difference...

Re: t64 Resurrection
Err... replaced the 18M chips with 32M ones? What unit of measurement are you using? The N64 has two 2MB RDRAM chips and the Expansion Pak has a single 4MB chip Are you saying you replaced the two 2MB chips with two 4MB chips, successfully eliminating the need for a third (Expansion Pak) chip while ...

Digital out? HDMI or something? No... HDMI would be stupid... DVI? Err... pointless... I've got nothing.

Re: t64 Resurrection
I'll be looking forward to the next fiasco that will inevitably happen  Sigh... maybe the next one won't take me so long to figure out. The N64 is a quirky little beast. So what happened with that video chip? All will be revealed in due time. *cue the mystical music* we can break it down i...

Re: t64 Resurrection
I'm still here... I briefly check the forums about once a month now. Sorry guys. It's nice to see my name come up every once in a while though. And yeah, the GC IDE/USB stuff was shipped off to Marshall a while ago, but he's pretty busy with other stuff too. Please don't bother him about it. I do en...

Re: IMPORTANT - Forums compromised, please change your password
While I was away I created that account because apparently my old one didn't exist. But when I returned home, I was still logged into the site. So I'm not too sure what happened there, appears my email isn't in the users database, except while I stay logged in everything will be fine. Appears I was...

Re: IMPORTANT - Forums compromised, please change your password
Just as long as they didn't start posting under my name making it look like I came back to the forums or something after all this time... Wait... Damn. :jawdrop: Hah... don't get excited or anything. I not coming back. XD I'm in college now! No time for the forums. >.< But that excuse only ...
