Anyways, yeah, that sucks. Actually visualizing it as 90 milk jugs changes it significantly from just lo...

Does anyone know what the thermal wattage of the xbox is? I'm looking at different heatsinks to put in it, and the wattage would be a nice bit to know.

I don't know if it's more efficent, but if you look up picoPSU and atx to xbox converter, you will find that it is MUCH smaller than their solution.

Re: Weed Whacker Powered Bicycle!
Sorry, but that doesn't really take research to figure out.I Anyways, It's very impressive looking, but I imagine it's a bit unbalanced. It would be great if it didn't have to be pushed to run though, with your setup, it sounds like it's great for cruisin' but not good for getting short point to poi...

if you read the thread, he actually did say he's a bit uncomfortable with the temps it gets (around 70 C). . . but the heatsinks were signifigantly upgraded.

Re: my first portable
read up A LOT about it, once you've read through all the stickies, if you still don't understand part of it (likely) then ask, but without specific questions, you can't receive good answers.

Re: Amazing Xbox Slim Mod
He got a smaller power supply and an adapter for it, it's not a pico though. You can see it in a few of the pictures, it's about an inch wide, 7 inches long and half an inch tall, and it's sitting on top of the mobo towards the front.

Re: The Afternoon projects thread.
so how's that set up, is there a switch in there for the av, or is it just whatever's on with all consoles going directly to a single output. Also, if there is a switch, does it apply to the consoles power as well so only one is on at a time, or did you just grab an extension cord with a 3 way split...

Re: xbox fan problems
you could just wire it up to the 12v (or 5v depending on what it's rated) line off of the power supply, you wouldn't have as much control over it, but it should work.

Re: Amazing Xbox Slim Mod
I'm amazed at how the Engadgeters are responding to it, they think it's no good because it's "just" and xbox. Anyways, I saw this and all of a sudden the old dvd player case I was gonna try to stuff an xbox in looked huge at an inch and a half thick. . . but at least I have an idea on what to do for...
