Re: gameboys for hacking and tons o other stuff?
Sorry, you didn't really express specifically which GB or how many, I didn't realize you need all the game boys.
I retract my interest in this topic for now.

Would 12V input to the 7805 damage the regulator/system?
The reason I'm asking is so I can play SNES on the DVD system in my brother's car. I'm planning to rewire a cigarette lighter adapter to the power connector of the SNES and I want to know if I need to do any modifications to the plug before I hook my SNES up to it.

Excellent, thanks for the replies guys.
I'm going to keep the auction on my watch list for later, or if I can't get a hold of a few other screens I'm on the prowl for.

Looking for info on this screen
Here she be. Has anyone purchased one of these or taken a peek at the innards? Info I can deduce from the listing Ships from Hong Kong 4.3" (Pictured)4:3 Aspect Ratio but the listing says "Resolution:1440(W) x RGB x 272(H)" wtf? Looks like it accepts composite (it says there are two video inputs an...

FDD ribbon cables
What can I use solid-strand FDD ribbon cable for? I was thinking of using it for wiring my controller in my SNES portable and a few other projects since I have 30 cables to work with. It's kind of tough to work with for me, and the wires are pretty thin, so before I do the work and then need to trou...

Re: Make a USB Powered 3 pin fan?
You should test it out without the yellow wire, I'm pretty sure it should run, if a fan that size can run on just 5v. I think the yellow wire might just be data to tell a computer system its RPM. What can testing it out hurt? Good luck.

Who says we can't start a band and rock the world, then? Will there be rock band? Or better yet, guitar hero/rock band at the karaoke bar?

Re: MGC 2011 thread!
Get your own dang idea man! :P Anyways, you weren't the only one who forgot to bring stuff when they said they would. I ended up being the only one who brought something. And that was a 6 pack of Ale-8-One soda. For next year, I'm going to try and bring two 6 packs of Ale-8-One. And try to find a l...

Re: Questions pertaining to conductive pads on circuit boards
Took a shower (where I do my best thinking) and thought about it. My guess is that I'd probably just use some sort of paint with silver or some other conductive material in it, right? I think of conductive paste as more of a heat-dissipation agent for heatsinks and the like.

Is there any way to make a conductive paste? Would I have to bake it?
