Re: SNES inside a Nomad (Pictures, Progress, and Problems)
K, looking just now, the middle pins on the bottom 3 rows arent connected to anything. The pins at the top were always disconnected when on the SNES side because the top ones put it on the NES side. The ones in the middle, I dunno about. I will do further investigating.

Well, here's the money shot: http://imageshack.us/a/img534/1636/image12012012121248.jpg The back: http://imageshack.us/a/img836/4396/image12012012121543.jpg (cart slot hole still needs to be cut, but it will wind up sticking out the back) And those button contacts for the shoulders are from R1 and L...

The dangly part on the retro duo board
Hey, I was wondering about the protrusion on the corner of the retro duo board around where the power switch is. would it be possible to remove that portion? I mean, I know it should be, I just don't know if it has been done yet. And if there is confirmation on the feasibility of that, I'd rather no...

Re: Controller port and wired in controls together?
Yes and yes. just place a switch to switch power between the port and the imbedded controls. and for video, you can just hook up video to a port and to the screen at the same time.

vac formed case woes
So, I vacuum formed for the first time. I have issues like not being able to cut the case out cleanly. I am okay with not being able to use the whole depth since I have two halves to put together. Mainly, I just need clean edges on either side. The problem here is that I dont have a dremel. How woul...

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
I guess the amount of wires is really important. What I was thinking port wise was the necessity of opening up a dead SNES to grab the ports, then an outside controller to hack off the plug to go into the SNES. This would be easier if you had all that, I spose. Two options, different challenges, sam...

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
I was thinking more along the lines of a little box (with just the IC, really) which sent out from all angles. I mean, some sort of box would have to be involved anyhow. Like, have your two controllers, open them both up, and take the ICs out, then stick one of the ICs in a little box, with all the ...

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
I posted a reply, but it isn't showing up. How strange. Why dont you just wire the controllers together on the other side of the chip? send one set of signals straight to the SNES, then just send each button signal and a common ground to both controllers... then it will be like there is one controll...

Cut down disc drive dimensions?
Hey, I know wiikey fusion/wode is kind of "The wave of the future," but I want to challenge myself and see how well I can do with the dang ol' DD. It will also allow me to play the physical form of those precious games I spent my preteen years collecting. So, jumping in the proverbial time machine, ...
