Re: Any EE's out there?
Like dragonhead, I quickly switched out (Before classes even began), though I changed only slightly into Computer Engineering. For me, having both a good knowledge of making circuits and then being able to program on them seems very important. I personally hated trying to learn program on my own bef...

Re: iphone RPG brainstorming
Yeah that's all good. I programmed everything in C# using Visual Studio 2008 with the XNA stuff. (Packages? is the term? whatever, it's the free XNA pack you get from the website). Features, yeah you could really do anything you wanted with this one. Timed hits would be a nice addition, I do believe...

Re: iphone RPG brainstorming
Excuse the long post, but I hope it's a good read. No idea how you're going about this for iphone, excuse my lack of experience in that area. I am, however, very close to the release of my first RPG for the Xbox Live Indie Game service, called "West". Links allowed here? That would seem like a self ...

M249, that beast? I would have suggested some sort of store, but I don't think the US stores will ship to Canada. Don't quote me on that though. I do know that some players who do an international meet-up have had problems taking them across the US-Canada border though.

Re: Recommend me a laptop! (school)
+1 vote for Lenovo. Typing this from a Thinkpad t500 that I've owned for a little over a year now. Intel dual core at 2.4ghz is quite fast enough for me and all the games I play (Read: basically anything from Valve). ATI Mobility Radeon 3650HD plays all the games I throw at it reasonably well. 3GB o...

Re: Stella: Atari Flashback 2 Pocket-Sized Portable
Excellent Atari build. Just wondering, any info about that screen you've got hooked up in there? Looks like a pretty small form factor and considering you're using the GBA battery, pretty decent power efficiency.

Re: Finished N64p In psone case and pics
Hah, nice. I was working on this design a few years ago, but in my inexperience fried a N64. Glad to see somebody tackle the idea and get it done.
My first NES portable also had tape on it... Ah, how far we've come since then. Nice work.

Re: Stupid things gamers have said to you..
The only problem I have in TF2 is when I play in servers where little kids take the game far too seriously. It's all tied in with this new generation YTP makers and fad followers. Yeah, YTP's are funny, and TF2 is a fun game. But go outside once in a while, will ya'?

Re: Should Triton Remain a benheck moderator?
Saw the title of the post. The articles are too dang long for somebody who has things to be done. Whatever. Triton, from all these years, has always been an intelligent, nice, and respectful person to talk with. Bacteria, besides his mods, I hardly know. Can't comment on you there. Anyway People nee...

Re: Got the parts back! NES portable updates(pictures)
Haha, my NES portable. Yes, this thread began halfway through my development. I shipped the parts out to my brother for a tech demo I believe. Then, when they returned, I resumed work on the portable. The main idea behind the portable was to utilize a USB cable system. Since everything could be run ...

Re: Console VS PC Gaming (Split-off from "Come and Rant Here")
The main reason I like to explain why most people prefer PC controls to consoles is the ability to "Point". Since this is also able to be done with a Wii, I'll leave this arguement mostly to the XBOX and PS3 players. I liked playing Fallout 3 on XBOX 360, but I'm finding the PC version to be much mo...

I can't believe I actually replied to one of those.
My favorite so far, from turbotax:
"its those dreaded sony screws again...
why does it seem like its so hard for people to open these things"
Funny stuff. And that's mostly just from the PSone forums!
