Re: Laser Trip Wire
Darn, I was hoping for a Half Life style laser trip wire.
Still, very cool. Is this supposed to be for surveillance?

Re: Has anyone had success in trimming a PS2 Slim motherboard?
I'm not certain based on your picture, but the two points that you discovered look to be the same as the ones I used. I traced mine further back.
Just the disk close thing I need to figure out, but my PS2 needs to wake up before I can continue.

Re: Has anyone had success in trimming a PS2 Slim motherboard?
Okay, I also did some tracing, and I now know where the power/reset tact connected. I used some wire to short the spot to ground, and it turns the system on, will reset the system, and totally shut it off when it's held for a few seconds. I'm still working on where the lid switch leads to. Once I h...

Re: Has anyone had success in trimming a PS2 Slim motherboard?
So, I tried removing all the components to see if it would boot and play disks without them. http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu90/zeturi/9240da01.jpg?t=1290213336 I removed a 7805, a 100uf 10v capacitor, four resistors, and both usb ports. All of this circuitry was only used for the usb ports, an...

Re: Has anyone had success in trimming a PS2 Slim motherboard?
Yeah, I removed both usb ports already, but it's just so annoying that this tiny piece is keeping the motherboard an inch wider.
Thanks for the help, though!

Everything. :trollface:hackmodford wrote:What do you dislike about OSX?
But I really love the build quality of Mac computers. Solid as a rock, and OSX is a pretty easy OS to use. I just abuse my hardware so much that I prefer using expendable $100 netbooks with TinyXP.

Has anyone had success in trimming a PS2 Slim motherboard?
Image belongs to Raizer04, the best PS2 motherboard pic I could find. http://i48.tinypic.com/2mwti54.jpg I'm mainly looking to trim off that little piece with the usb port, regulator, and power/reset switch. I normally don't ask questions here anymore, but there aren't any people experienced with PS...

Re: Paint and add LEDs to N64?
Or you could just wire the leds from the 3.3v power source on one of the controller ports. No regulator required. I would suggest using player 4. Also, Krylon Fusion is your friend for painting plastic.
