Well, i dont think its posible to use a laptop DVD drive unless you have programing language and firmware flashing skills. You see, xbox uses a special format for the hard drive called FATX, wich is a modified version of FAT32 (i think it was, could be 16 too). The DVD's are burned in that FATX way ...

Great! Laptop screens are far more cheap then a LCD tv.
