Atari 2600 4-Switch screw size?
Hey all -
Got done with a video mod I put on hold for months. Ready to close Atari 2600. Where are the screws?
Anyone know the sizes? Looks like I may have to replace them.
Thanks.

Rebuilding Atari 2600 back wall?
Hey guys - As you probably know, the case of the Atari VCS is fairly brittle. Mine was already in not too great of shape when I started drilling holes in it for a video mod. I lost a few chunks here and there, and a few pre-existing fractures extended themselves. I aborted the drilling. I still need...

Hey mario - Did you ever complete this mod? If you have RGB through the AV multiout, you have to have sync in order for it to work. I am *pretty* sure that the N64 would output the sync signal for you via that multiout, and you could therefore tap it off of that. You could always use an LM1881 chip ...

My next goal is to try and remove what is already glued to the front plate. The epoxy hasn't been that great. I hope that means I can remove it. I'll try to start recovery from there. Salvage the metal strip by using something to bend it around. I would definitely like to get it completely formed be...

That sounds like it would make things easier. Unfortunately, I do not have the resources available to make the wooden mold. After attempting this, I cannot recommend going the route of bend, glue, bend, glue as described in the book. The best way I can figure - and it looks like jjhammerstein agrees...

Is bending aluminum really that hard?
So far, all of the hiccups on this project have been solved easily. Do some quick research, double check a few things, maybe post a message here, and then continue. Tonight I attempted to start bending the aluminum wall for the case. I cannot explain the pain this has caused. I have various sets of ...

Reducing the size of a hole
What a fun question to ask. I have a spot where I want to place my power switch and it is slightly too big. It is big enough for the power switch to fit, but too big for the small screws to get a full wall around the holes. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b40/estation/switch.jpg That aluminum is g...

Recommend good dremel bit for fine tuning a cut
Saw Super Cameraman's thread about using a dremel. Think I may need to do some semi-precision work with one later tonight. Need a good bit recommendation for a certain job. Most of my dremel work has been with polishing and straight forward (no pun intended) cutting. Haven't really used the other bi...

Helpplease - I love seeing this stuff. I made an Xbox 360 Street Fighter 2 arcade controller for a friend of mine using HAPP controls arcade parts and a wood case he built himself. Then a year or so later I pick up SF II HD Remix for PS3 Then I see your awesome project... ..and now I can't help but ...

Well in my experience, the book is pretty much error-city. However sometimes doing something out of the ordinary is just part of the construction process with the parts you have. The obvious answer is to find out what size screw is going in each post and just use that as your threading screw, but th...
