I may build another one for myself or a potential buyer once I'll have the time ! and OH! btw I got a black 9-pin cable so if I ever do another one, the cab...

Playing burned games will kill the system, so don't. You'll overwork it, forcing the system to constantly seek for comparatively randomly ordered files. Extra labor for the motors and the laser diode. Death will come much sooner. If you know how to burn and format your iso there should be no proble...

I think you don't need the dvd-drive to be present. Maybe just short some wire like vskid said. This guy : http://customportables.com/xbox%201.5.htm Actually softmodded his XBOX and made a no-dvd portable. Games are loaded from the HDD or via LAN and are put on the HDD by reconnecting the dvd-drive ...

It's 5.2v, almost like USB!" This idea stayed in my mind for the whole day, and once I finished cleaning my desk (you now ...

Using a picoPSU is great. You'd need from 11.1v top 12v.
FOr diagram and infos I suggest reading my "taking-forever-to-be-done-WIP"

Would it be possible to make it run on a dvd lens I want to be able to watch DVD's on it 8) Dvd lens would require too much conversion or work. The EFM patterns of dvd aren't the same as on cds (aka pits on the surface) and i don't htink the protocols are neither. So aù big forget it :P That AND d...

Or if you meant replacing the GD-ROM with a CD-ROM. What I've heard/read, which isn't much, it's almost a simple replacement. Just put the CD-ROM in there and away you go. It does have the disadvantage of locking you into only using backups from there on. I hope I understand correctly what your say...

Thanks! I have been receiving quite a bit of criticism over it on various websites that have embedded my video so it's nice to hear some people like it. People are complaining, but couild certianly not do better themselves. It's easy to say something could be better. It's another to do it half as g...

@familyguy---The ABXY buttons stick out a little ways and they spin around. That may be what you are talking about. Just a design flaw I had. Well I mean that the "shape" they doesn't seem like what I'm used to. It's more of a losange than a tilted rectangle. Btw, as long as it's comfortable it's g...
