Re: Vista Install for MAME Not recognizing hard drive
any reason you are using vista? MAME will run better on XP if the setup is kind of older, and will run better on 7 than vista if its newer. XP has a way smaller install footprint, and i think 7 beats it as well. The only main reason i can think of you skipping XP is you want an x64 install.(we'll ig...

Re: Arcade Coffee/Cocktail Table
No, not at all. I'm kind of talking more consumer based mobs, not DIY assembles. I've worked on a few thousand computers, And I didnt see USB booting untill 2006-7 in a few high-end rigs. It wasn't even remotely common till 2009 or so. I think macs did it a good 6 or so years before PCs, and they on...

Re: Arcade Coffee/Cocktail Table
If set up correctly, the adapter should be transparent to the mobo. sounds like something on the adapter or in the bios is not configured correctly.
If its old enough to have IDE, I wouldn't think that it is going to boot from USB (if you are trying that).

Re: Arcade Coffee/Cocktail Table
bare MAME with the non CHD games and an os is gonna be 50gb+. if you cut that down to a rom list you might actually play (500-1000 games) id still say 10-15 gb especially with a paging and hibernation files. Then add Hyper-Spin. HS its self isnt very big, maybe a few hundred MB. The problem is all t...

Re: Arcade Coffee/Cocktail Table
Any tips for installing HyperSpin? Its the best. (too bad HS2 is delayed) watch your install paths closely when configuring. A gold (or platinum) HS membership is a godsend for the FTP. would recommend it. and EMUmovies for the video snaps (just get a lifetime membership). real good stuff. If you a...

Re: Blue electron gun: Epic frustration!
I think you can check if one is firing (electrically working), but that won't tell you if its ACTUALLY working (but you can tell that with your eyes). the blue gun could be dirtied; you might need to rejuvenate it to bring the color back. of course, if your blue cathode has been depleted of its mate...

Re: Picked up Wii U and now Wii is broke
I have heard that they transfer your purchases to your new wii's identification numbers. that way the wii store thinks you have already bought them on that wii.
i cant confirm that 100%.
