Re: Windows 7 RC available NOW!
Looks like Ben Heckendorn was right! Windows 7 isn't much faster than Vista: http://www.pcworld.com/article/164485/windows_7_rc_benchmarks.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I guess people that held out with XP will have no gripes, but it's kind of a slap in the face to Vista owners...

Re: What's the deal with the GP2x forum?
Damn, that's pretty crazy if what you say is accurate Palmer. I have one of the very first pre-order gp2xs, so i've been visiting that forum for years. Just re-did my gp2x dpad mod as a matter of fact.

That's pretty cool. Nice work so far.
Sorry if you posted this already and I skimmed over it, but any idea on the final color?

Since this is your first project, your better off doing something that's already done. Those guys are active forum members, so i'm sure they will be able to give you advice if you get stuck.

Re: WTB: SNES cartridge connector
They are reasonably priced from MCM, but shipping kills it. http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/83-3150" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I bought one a while back to replace the slot in a mini. Unfortunately the front and back pin rows were too close together. (I guess it's intended ...

Re: RGB scrolling problem
Perhaps you should try the RGB amp from the gamesx pages. But only build one for the sync line. Its a possibility it's just not strong enough for your screen.

Re: N64 -> PSone screen : best quality?
Normally i'm all for RGB mods, all the time. But the N64 blurs the output by itself already on most 3d games, so its no big loss using composite.

Re: Bringing a Genesis 3 back to life with... a GN Twin?
Sounds cool, i'm looking forward to pics. I always liked the looks of the Genesis 3, but the lack of compatibility is a big turn off.

Re: Cheapest duo system?
Those FC Twin compatibility charts are crap anyway. Ive owned two, and personally tested and played a lot of games marked incompatible (Such as Street Fighter Alpha 2, Star Ocean, etc). I have one game (Marvelous, Super Famicom SA1 game) that worked on one FC Twin, but not the other. It works on my ...

100% analog playback
It looks to be pretty much the answer for those wanting to preserve their records. It costs $10,000.00. Casual listeners need not apply.

The Superjoys are the easiest. They're dirt cheap, and run on a pretty wide input voltage range.

Re: SERIOUS ISSUE - Extending Cart Connector
Yeah, it makes sense. The SuperFX chip required pretty close timing to work correctly. Yoshi's Island uses the 20mhz version as well, making it even pickier that Starfox.. It might also be worth while to try some different solder. Some of the newer environmentally solders can't match the electrical ...
