mine was really perfect and easy to put together, I dunno why yours was messed up - prolly different production run or something. they are inexpensive cases for what you get.

Re: new headache (Haier 7" portable television)
I bought this myself for other uses and sporadic use playing my old consoles directly, but honestly it is not good for handheld conversion/hacking at all. 1) it's a very power inefficient system, as you discovered. It takes more power than my 21 inch 1080p computer monitor, and that's not LED backli...

Re: Challenging the sticky thread- Laptop LCD panels!
I understood just fine. portable does not mean cordless. take yet another look at the pair of images. which is easy to transport and get going in another location? Take a good look at the second image, similar to that is what you'll be doing with a console. sound system, LCD monitor, the gaming syst...

Re: Challenging the sticky thread- Laptop LCD panels!
I agree with prettymuch everything here except the point that "these arent viable because laptops aren't portable" and "14 and 15 inch screens aren't portable" arguments. Uh... if you can slip it into a laptop bag or backpack along with an optional ac adapter, and you can use it successfully on your...

*shrug* it was just fair warning for anyone reading this thread, and 400w was just an example.
when I post it's not just for the OP, but for general knowledge.
If you notice the wording, I said it's what I do, as in for my own systems.

Re: NES mod questions (power and regulation, cartridge slot etc)
the spacing is close enough that it should work, and someone else in the thread had stated they got it working fine, so it seems it's close enough to work.

Re: Specing Out a PC
the only problem with asus motherboards is if you dont fuel them with a high end power supply they slowly die over time. a couple years and they go splat and usually take something with them. Ive been a PC tech first as a livelihood and now as a hobby/enthusiast/my obsession in life for about 16 yea...

Re: Where to start?
start with two main things: 1) what size do you want it? 2) what do you want it to play, do you want it to be genuine nes hardware, do you wanna be able to load roms into it, play without cartridges, et cetra? once you get those two down pat you can start looking at the devices that are sold, and fi...
